Impermanent Marks Documentary Short Film,  Film stills   Courtesy of artist and SDI Corporation.

A+ Contemporary and artist Peng Yihsuan collaborate with Taiwan stationary brand SDI Corporation to produce a documentary short film “Impermanent Marks”. The film recorded the making process of Peng’s Impermanent Marks series. Peng also talks about the significance of the whiteboard as the medium of his choice. Peng synchronizes retrospective memories of his personal genealogy with the footage of catastrophic events that Taiwan has experienced over the years since his early memories and uses whiteboards – a medium with impermanent nature – for marking, recording and communicating his description of these events.

Impermanent Marks series is currently on view at 2019 Art Basel Hong Kong, presented by A+  Contemporary in Discoveries booth 1C50.
